    Description

    This auction is for
    FIVE BEAUTIFUL PRISTINE ROLLS
    OF
BU 2009-DENVER FORMATIVE YEARS (FY) Cents,
removed by me from U.S. Mint rolls in 2009 and carefully
    placed in
    CoinSafe inert collector's archival tubes
    where they
    have been stored
    since 2009
    .
With gloved hands, I transferred them at that time into these safe
    storage tubes directly from
    opened U.S. Mint LP2 Rolls in 2009
    .
Each Mint Roll was very carefully opened, and in order to reduce
rattle or impact on adjacent coins, I filled the CoinSafe tubes to their
safe capacities.  This means that there are between 51 and 53 BU
    coins in each roll.
The winning bidder will receive FIVE of the
    rolls as pictured in
    photo #3 above.
    CoinSafe Inert Collector's Archival Tubes,
    are a .00 Value,
    as advertised in “
    Numismatic News”
    and in in “
    Coin World”
    magazines.)
These  Formative Years Denver Cents came from many differently
dated LP2 Mint Box Rolls that I opened in my search for Philadelphia
    anomalies in 2009.  The
    Denver (FY) cents
    series had a number of
doubled die reverse and obverse errors, so look closely. Die cracks,
die chips and other anomalies have also been found in these FY rolls,
along with some very high grade MS (Mint State) examples. These rolls
contain some really beautifully and fully struck "BU" (Brilliant Uncirculated)
    cents.
The photos show a sample of the rolls that I opened, and another,
(#5), shows the many opened wrappers from these opened rolls.
The winning bidder will receive FIVE of the rolls pictured in
    photo #2 above.
In order to eliminate rattle within these CoinSafe Rolls,
I filled them to their capacity.  This means that
    there are between
51 and 53 BU coins in each roll!
These coins and the search for the anomalies can be a new and
fascinating pastime for the whole family, as well as a great
introduction to the wonderful hobby of numismatics.

Congress voted to limit the number of small denomination coins
minted in 2009.  For this reason, it is becoming more difficult to
find 2009 cents in ANY condition in circulation. Because of the
four different cent reverse designs in 2009, each of the four
varieties of reverse design is a "type coin" on it's own.
    The
    Denver FY cents
    series had a number of
    doubled
    die reverse and obverse errors
    , so
    look closely
    .  Many
    die cracks and other anomalies
    have been found in these
