This sapphire has
AMAZING LUSTER.
This sapphire is a rectangular smooth top Cabochon Cut and really catches the light. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. The gemstone tests as a sapphire on a Presidium Gem Tester and a reflectometer but still could be a very high quality lab grown sapphire. This gemstone has not been removed from the setting for testing so we cannot say definitively it is a natural sapphire as it is most likely a very high quality lab grown sapphire. A Lab Grown Sapphire has the
exact
same physical, optical, and chemical properties of a Natural Sapphire meaning it is as hard and scratch resistant. The waves and swirls on the sapphire in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections because the polished surface is difficult to photograph.
This ring also features Two 1.5mm Natural & Genuine Diamonds expertly bead set in white gold mounts. Both Diamonds have very nice clarity and color. Both diamonds are

This Classic 1920's Art Deco ring has great Hand Milgrained shoulder details and a great bracketed setting designed to allow light into the sapphire.
Milgrain edging looks so beautiful, appealing and interesting because the beaded patterns is able to make the ring’s edge resemble the edge of a coin. A specialized jeweler's hand tool is used to create interesting texture that is said to resemble tiny beading or embroidery.
The dark areas on the gold in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections due to the difficulty in photographing the highly polished gold.
This ring was made using the stamping method common in the Art Deco era.

Regarding Ring Sizing:
Be wary of any online seller that offers sizing of a ring before it is shipped to you. Due to differences in measuring devices and the way certain types of rings fit these rings should only be sized in person by your local jeweler. Sizing by your local jeweler is relatively inexpensive and you will have a ring that properly fits your finger. All size 9 rings are not the same. The ring may fit on a mandrel and measure as a size 9 but the way the ring is made, the way the ring has been enlarged or reduced, and the finger type you have may make it fit like an 8 or 10 or worse. Have your sizing done in person for a proper fit.

The tall measurement is the distance from the bottom or shank of the ring to the middle peak of the gemstone most easily measured when wearing the ring and placing the hand flat on the table and measuring the height of the ring from the table. The wide measurement is the width of the ring from outside to outside at the widest point when looking at the ring from the top. The rise from the finger measurement is the height of the ring from the finger to the peak of the gemstone when worn.
In the final photo the tick marks on the L-Square are 1 millimeter apart.
