Description
Offered here is an early Nathan Turk western wear shirt circa early 1940s. The plain label reads N. Turk of Hollywood California. I cannot find another Nathan Turk label like it.The shirt itself is in great condition for the age. Brilliant red and white plaid wool, possibly wool blend fabric with an off-white piping around the yoke, pockets and cuffs. Meticulously crafted with tons of great detail, but not overly ornate. The back of the shirt has some contour lines that run up the sides it appears these could be let out for a less trim fit not sure if they were later added or added by Turk. May benefit from a professional cleaning, but leaving in its found state.
Shirt fits like a men’s medium. It measures 21 inches from pit to pit. 18 inches from shoulder to shoulder across back. 23.5 inches from shoulder to cuff. 28.5 inches from neck to hem in back. 17.5 inches from neck to bottom snap in front.
