    Description

Custom made with safety/ loss guard. Coins 24K gold.
All the other parts of the cuff links are marked and have been tested as 14K gold.
Coins from a numismatic collector. Cufflinks are one owner and are in outstanding vintage condition.
Coins date from 1898 and 1894. Superior esthetic design and first rate bench jeweler craftsmanship.
The handmade cufflinks weigh 15.6 grams and 15.4 grams.
How to use the loss guard. The guard consists of a chain and an end piece which is somewhat in the shape of a snowman with a smaller and a larger end. Your button holes should be stitched so that the large part of the end piece can pass snugly through the buttonhole with a little pressure.
    1. Starting at the front side of the cuff insert the end piece and chain through all the buttonholes of the cuff beginning with the small part of the end piece, following with the larger part of the end piece using a little pressure and then following with the chain.
    2. Now insert the straight rod of the cufflinks through the buttonholes and through the end piece of the loss guard.
    3. Close the cufflink by moving the end of the straight cufflink bar to the horizontal closed position. The end piece of the loss guard is now around the perpendicular part of the bar and under the horizontal part of the bar which closes the cufflink.
If your cufflink should accidentally straighten and slide through your buttonhole the large end piece of the guard will catch on the buttonhole- nice!
