FIDELITY VOICE SENSORY CHALLENGER MODEL VSC ELECTRONIC CHESS COMPUTER 1980s READ

For sale is a beautiful Fidelity Voice Sensory Challenger Model VSC Electronic Chess Game. This set comes with all pawns, manuals and instructions shown, as well as a vintage hard case for storage.
The chess set works! However, I have not figured out the voice function (or maybe needs repaired), as a sound is made - but nothing other than a buzzer style noise. It’s possible the speaker just needs replaced - I have not attempted any repairs.
As for the power supply - I have recently purchased , tested, and included a brand new modern power supply, as the previous power supply was no longer working, and the previous owner had discarded it. This new power supply is a switching power supply, and set to 9V, 12W, 1A which is very similar to what the original power supply was.
The connector on the chess set says (POS/NEG) for positive and negative, and I have color coded the new power supply end so you can plug each end in correctly. I’m not sure if it matters too much, but would rather keep the polarity as intended.
All chess pieces are included, and in order to play a game, you select the settings you wish, and move your piece - pressing on the square its on, then moving to the new square and pressing the piece on that square to confirm. It works excellent, and I have played a few games before listing (and was beat by the computer both times, haha).
All the pieces have what appear to be magnets underneath, allowing them to “hold” to the board with a light magnetism, however, one brown pawn looks to be missing a magnet. The magnets are not needed to play. I have purchased some extra magnets that I believe will work for the pawns, and will include them if they do.
Also, the case mechanism that clicks into the lock is broken - thus it will not stay closed and will need to be picked up and transported horizontally. The case has some scratches, but overall is in average to good shape. The lock does not have any keys included, as isn’t really functional anyway with the clasp broken.
I have done my best to describe the set - its a wonderful set, and plays great. The voice is really the only issue - but isn’t really necessary to play if you understand what you and the computer are doing.
