This sale is for six (6) pins which represent Missouri Jaycees that were an integral part or beginning of a long history of the original Junior Chamber of Commerce or
Jaycees.
These pins came in two round sizes as displayed in the pictures. They did so since they were to be uniquely designed to be completely different from any other pins during this time frame.
These pins were sold at local meetings, State chapter meetings, Regional meetings, and were sold to mainly Missouri Jaycee member to raise money for various chapter functions as well as money to purchase other trade pins. Since the production number of these pins were for Missouri sales the total production runs were limited in total numbers making them a highly sought after set of pins. Obviously all pins which were originally designed for identification and soon became a ‘break the ice’ topic tool to get different states and the chapter members to communicate verbally with one another, thus strengthening ties to all of the chapters with in the United States and in countries that have Jaycees. The themes of each pin varied from state to state, region to region, and even countries to countries as the idea became more and more popular over the years. Individuals would pack their bags full of trading pins and once they reached their meeting locations the frenzy of looking and talking about their collections became a passion and all kind of friendships were developed through constant contact during the days of the conventions.
Many members tried to obtain all pins brought out for each year in production and the many themes that were characteristic of important things about their particular states. Like Florida was big on bringing out Disney characters and states like Missouri brought out pins of the founder of Jaycees, President Truman and his wife Bess.
I am selling all of my collection of over ten years and have sold many of the state pins up to this point in time. If there are pins, patches, or other items you are seeking, please contact me and I will possibly have the item ready to sell.

The 3 small gold metal pins are 1.50” diameter
