Description
The Somalia 1,000 Shilling banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Somalia for the Puntland Region in 1990. The banknote is in orange, purple, and green combinations and is 154 x 76 mm in size. Its obverse features two women weaving baskets and mats. It also shows the national emblem. On the reverse depicts a city coastline as well as ships and buildings at the Mogadishu port. The banknote carries a watermark that reflects a portrait of Mohammed Abdullah Hassan. Printed by the Pura Group in Indonesia, the note bears the signatures of the bank president Omar Ahmed Omar and cashier Hassan Elmi Barkhadle. This Somalia 1,000 Shilling banknote is in uncirculated condition and is TAP authenticated.
