Vintage Lawn Boy Model #5024 Mechanically Restored Lawnboy Lawn-Boy

For your consideration is a fully rebuilt Lawn-Boy model 5024 with a D433
brick top engine that has been completely disassembled, cleaned and rebuilt with many NOS parts.
This is primarily a mechanical restoration with some cosmetic upgrades. The original paint was in good condition so I left it alone. The cylinder has been honed. The piston rings, upper crankshaft needle bearing and both crankshaft seals have been replaced. The connecting rod and all bearings are brand new. All engine gaskets were replaced.
The points/condenser were inspected, the ignition coil and spark plug were replaced.
This mower has a NOS flywheel screen, starter rope and starter handle. The chrome handle was cleaned up and a new grip was installed. The top shroud decal and the front safety sticker were replaced.
The fuel tank has a new shutoff valve, new gas cap and the carburetor has been cleaned/ rebuilt with all new gaskets and rebuild kit including new cork float. New air filter and muffler was cleaned.
Brand new blade adapter, blade stiffener, and blade. NOS 19” mulch plate.
The original wheels were in good condition and the deck is in good condition aside from one small piece missing underneath as shown. It is not visible from above.
This mower has a 2 ring piston and runs on 32:1 gas oil mix.
Starts in 2-3 pulls and runs great. It cuts really nicely. This would be a great machine to use and enjoy regularly. I have used this machine to mow a few times to test and break in the rebuilt engine. I will drain fuel for shipping.
I do have the discharge chute toe kick guard for this that I will include as well.
This machine is ready to go and this is a no reserve auction. The starting price is lower than the cost of parts. Wheels will be removed, handle disassembled and Fed Ex shipping will be used. Thanks!
