Tiffany Gold Cufflinks!

Beautiful Tiffany Gold Cufflinks! These cufflinks come from a family friend that traveled extensively for many years. These belonged to her husband, whom she married in 1977. She had never seen him wear these as he kept them safely stored in his jewelry box for the duration of their 40+ years of marriage.
Each measures 3/4" in length - 3/4" deep - 1/2" tall
They are marked "Tiffany" on the backside - as well as "Patented", "14K", and a very light etching of "15010" Please see photographs for best description. I have not seen any other cufflinks similar to these and can only imagine that maybe these are a prototype or early Tiffany cufflink.  Please let me know if you have any further information on them
